Tom Chen

Tom Chen oversees corporate trade communications, media relations and publicity efforts for Shout! Studios, its broad spectrum of entertainment releases and new production ventures. He serves as a strategic advisor and resource to Shout!’s executive team and department heads on press and industry communications matters. He and his team develop and implement campaign strategies that promote and enhance corporate profile, multiple entertainment brands and top releases for Shout!’s new films, original productions, animation and pop culture TV and film libraries across multi-screens: theatrical, VOD, streaming entertainment, broadcast and home entertainment.

Prior to joining Shout! in 2007, Chen was director of television, film and home entertainment at MPRM Communications. His long-time clients included AMC, Discovery Channel, Starz, HBO, IFC, and Universal Home Entertainment, among others. Earlier in his career, he implemented film publicity and award campaigns for many Oscar®-winning documentaries, and launched several acclaimed independent films at Sundance Film Festival. Chen spent his formative years in New York and attended University of Rochester. Fluent in English and Mandarin, he’s currently an active member of Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
