Shout! Studios And Plaion Pictures Announce Film Distribution Deal To Highly Anticipated Family Movie Adventure Pet Investigators

Shout! Studios, a multiplatform media company, has acquired North American rights to the new family adventure PET INVESTIGATORS from PLAION PICTURES mbH, a leading independent film distributor in Europe. The announcement was made today by Shout! Studios’ Executive Vice President Melissa Boag, film writer and producer Werner Kienberger of PLAION PICTURES. Sales outlet Sola Media is selling remaining territories at the European film market.

Directed by Brent Ryan Green and written by Sebastian Brummer, Werner Kienberger, and B. Dave Walters, PET INVESTIGATORS stars Gabriella Sophia Terrero (The Truth About Santa Claus), Peyton Jackson (Best Foot Forward), Joseph Lee (An-de-lu), Naomi Grossman (American Horror Story), Maurice Hall (A Heart for Christmas), Betsy Hume (Split) with David Faustino (Entourage), Corin Nemec (Parker Lewis Can’t Loose), and Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings). A production of Almost Never Films, PET INVESTIGATORS is produced by Danny Roth, Werner Kienberger, and Sebastian Brummer. Executive producers are John Mehrer and Michael Roth, with Tony Armer and David Yates as co-executive producers.

This new multi-year alliance provides Shout! Studios with all North American distribution rights in the U.S. and Canada, including home entertainment (digital, video-on-demand, FAST, and all packaged media), theatrical, and ancillary rights for cross-platform releases. Shout! Studios plans a strategic launch of this movie, beginning with film festivals this year.

The movie deal was negotiated by Shout’s Melissa Boag, Mark Balsam, Bruce Eisen of Eisen Law, and Steven Katz, Shout’s Vice President of Business Affairs, and Werner Kienberger on behalf of PLAION PICTURES.

Featuring a talented ensemble cast, the highly entertaining family movie PET INVESTIGATORS is brimming with humor, adventure, mystery, and hijinks in equal measure. When a string of mysterious pet disappearances occurs in their neighborhood, three teenagers and their dog form an unlikely detective team to investigate the case. The adventure of a lifetime begins as they uncover an organized pet theft operation and pursue the bumbling criminals behind it.
